| History made as Lions roar
The obituaries were already being penned for Cameroon after they lost to Egypt in their opening game but a wounded lion is a dangerous one as Zambia found out in Kumasi. Joseph-Desire Job scored twice and there were goals for Geremi Fotso Njitap and Achille Emana but the moment of triumph came when Eto'o netted from the spot to tie a 38-year-old record. It was his 14th Cup of Nations goal. Zambia made myriad defensive errors but kept searching for a consolation goal, which eventually came at the end from Chris Katongo. It proved a tough tussle early on in the 'Nile' derby but a foul from Sudan goalkeeper Majhoub El Moez led to a penalty that Hosni Abd Rabou converted just before the half-hour. Substitute Mohamed Aboutrika, widely regarded as the best player still playing in Africa, came on as a second half substitute to score twice and affirm his reputation as an elegant late charging midfielder.
Dan Brady introduces legislation to put in traffic light cameras
Bloomington City Manager Tom Hamilton said he wants to look at the possibility of using cameras at busy or dangerous intersections.“We pushed to get our name on the list," he said.Hamilton admitted the idea of giving out more red light tickets could prove controversial among residents.“The bottom line is, if they don't break the law, they don't have to worry about it," he said. The camera concept has sometimes caused a stir in some Chicago-area counties when officials there install the devices. Some criticize local governments for just trying to get more money from the traffic tickets.DeKalb city engineer Joel Maurer said officials there would probably take a look at the concept, but have heard some of the difficulties neighboring counties have had with the cameras.Maurer said the cost of installing and maintaining the technology might not be worth it.“It's no free lunch here," he said.In addition to where traffic light camera use is already allowed, Brady's legislation would give the option to: DeKalb, McLean, Kankakee, LaSalle, Peoria, Sangamon, Vermilion and Winnebago counties. The legislation is House Bill 4562.

CFL commissioner Mark Cohon speaks to media about the state of the CFL.(John Woods/Canadian Press) "Our league is moving forward, and the increase in the cap reflects our progress," Cohon said from league headquarters in Toronto. "At the same time, an increase of this size speaks to our teams' responsibility to our players, who make our game great, and our fans, who keep it strong, to live within our means." A move to raise the salary cap made sense, Cohon added, when considering average league attendance exceeded 29,000 for the first time since 1983 and domestic television ratings continue to be healthy.
